the ipod the most overrated gadget
the ipod started of with a bang , yes it captured the hearts of millions all around the world and suddenly everything was ipod,
well you were not even considered to be in the pod if you didnt have the ipod.
with its revolutionary design (the wheel) and its plesent white looks it was good for the eye to see but was it really as good as what it proclaimed to be...
well here comes the answer NO
a music player for which it was designed couldnt play the most of the common file extensions (other then the mp3 and the wma offcourse) which by the way could have saved a lot of space on the ipod i say this because mp3 players around the same time can play a lot of other file extensions
it dosent have a fm recevier ,you might ask why do we need radio,
well my friend sometimes it just feels nice to listen to something live other than your stored music
it dosent have a built in voice recorder , which could have been added advantage
its not that good of player in sound as compared to others
it even had a battrey problem earlier (thank god they rectified it to allow the ipods to change battreies)
the other things like the add ons too have to be bought seperatley by the way a few which should be mandatory
the other thing is its a bit overly priced than the other players
the other players esppecially like the creative zen series or even the creative movo series are really a better option
even the memory capacity of the players are equivalent if not more compared to the ipod

value for money players with lot of other added tech advantages
with the launch of the video and the nano ipod has entered in to the color screen display models , the players mentioned above too have a variety of color display and video players
the other players too offer the same functions plus a few more which are surely important and for a good value
if you are a person who go's for the looks then take the ipod but if you are the person who likes to be techno savvy with value for money then surely chek the other players
my saying is you wont be disappointed....

before the ipod..how many mp3 players had you heard of? i dont think too many....even if there were some, im sure they couldnt hold 20gb of music, maybe 64 mb or 256 mb maximum...
why wud u want your music player to play anythign apart from mp3s....its the foremost in music formats...and nothign really beats it....atleast until they release mp4..

apple is a brilliant innovative company, they brought about a music player revolution. read Icon: steve jobs, you'll kno a little more about it.
im a major apple fan, and i have my reasons to be one! (even though i dont own a single apple product)

Have you spent enough time with an iPod to judge its capabilities and its drawbacks?
The first striking feature of the iPod is the brilliant sound that it produces. I have got first hand feedback from guys in my class who heard their favourite songs on the Pod. They declared the output as something far superior to any other portable playback device they've come across. So thats that.
Secondly, which goddamn company in the world is eveready to distribute all their accessories with the primary product in one package? None I can think of.
Third - The ClickWheel is the most revolutionary part of any mp3 player to date.So much so, that the iPod has rightly claimed the position of a benchmarking phenomenon. All the post iPod players have tried to integrate similar features..
I can go on.But I won't.

let me educate a little. there was once a guy called mr. fullstop. he invented what is called "the fullstop". its the little dot that you put at the end of a sentence to indicate its completion. it comes in handy during those long drawn disourses in the uselessness of the ipod.its the button which is to the left of the question mark but incase you've never used one its the one 2 buttons to the left of the RSHIFT. try it... you'll like it.
