20 amazing years of the Master - His life, our journey.....

Windows 7

They say we all make mistakes and how we correct them shows our true identity.

When the book on history of OS will be written they will surely mention the failure of Vista. Sometimes dream projects just turn into nightmares.

Vista was an OS which wanted to do everything right, and that's where it failed.

That started the birth of Windows7,and this time around it just wanted to do the normal everyday things right.

So out went all the things which Vista was overloaded with, and was born the streamlined, aerodynamic,light and pleasing Windows7.

I have been a windows user and it was heartening to work on the RTM Windows7.

No mater what the Mac and Linux users crib about they are never going to take over the PC.

I am not sure if Windows7 will be as great XP, but one thing is sure in that history book of OS they will surely mention how Microsoft made that correction on October 22nd 2009.

I am a PC.

I dont know....

Its really funny some times, you really don't know what you want and it sort off is a good feeling.It does happen a lot of times, its just that the mental phase during that time is really unknown.

I think when you are in that frame of mind you really don't expect anything.Its like this feel good thing.

Its a strong mental phase, but the outcome of it does not really matter.

As i said i have no idea why i am in this phase, maybe its path or calmness before something really big happens.......

Television - Lost Reality

Hi ,

You know as its been so long i just went thorugh my blog searching my frozen thoughts - and I hit upon this earlier post of mine Tv Simplicity Lost.

And I realized TV has changed so much in the last 3 years - and its not the physical appearance.

With all the new production techniques used by the channels and the animations and all the other things, you would say hell yeah it rocks.

HELL NO - its a scary box of reality. 

There are ONLY reality programs being run left, right, center, upside,down, in jungles, on bikes , on dating , on sex , in a scary house, some real weirdos trying to kill themselves and calling it some talent show. 

Oh yes music shows - Indian Idol which started this crazy virus of reality shows is actually lost in the madness.

The worst is MTV - man this was my channel - my space - my freedom - my rebellion during my years of changing from A Boy to A Man.(why MTV? why?)

To tell you the truth the KKKKK serials didn't scare me - but this reality television scares the hell out me.

I am freaked out - i am so scared of turning on the TV that I might just see some new reality show.

There is nothing real in these shows - all the contestants are in their designer clothes and makeup, even when its a show in a jungle

Yes the music shows - hell they fight like cats and dogs - real cats and dogs make synchronized symphony when they mew and bark.

Every show is rigged from the start to the last second. 

The worst are the rigged results - oh yeah you gotta SMS.

The contestants and channels will do any thing for a quick buck and fame.

The channel takes the viewer for granted, but its not the channel to blame its how the K-serials took over the households , this fake reality is taking over real lives.

TV used to be my toy to the real world - now its a domain to fake life.

I dont watch TV any more.....

Hi All,

My last post was in in 2006, yeah long time right.

So many times I came to my blog and thought about getting back to blogging, dont know exactly what made me stop or just have this long gap.

Its crazy to think that there was so much to write or say but ithink my mind just didnt want it to express it self.

This last weekend was a good one so may amazing things happened the, but the ones i like.

Michael Jordan inducted in hall of fame amazing...

Force India doing really well in F1.

Watching the KPL (Karnataka premier league) at the Chinnaswamy  without a ticket just beside the players box.

Sisters birthday - it crazy just had a dream in which she was just that lil girl and now she is all grown up.

Tejas's birthday - he forgot my voice when i called him (shit happens) 

Kim Clijsters - winning the US open 

To top it all a India victory in Srilanka with a Sachin tendullkar 100.

It was time I had to blog.

I wish i do it regularly now.

Agassi - End of an era....

At the Arthur Ashe stadium tennis's original style icon bowed out.... and at his home with the crowd cheering him on he went down but never out.....

with his retirement the golden era of tennis has come to an end, boris becker , pete samprass and andre agassi were the golden boys.

andre gave us all the moments of tennis we could ever watch... those long flowing locks when he won the wimbeldon , that bald plate when he won the australian open , his american spirit when he won the us open and.... the comback when he won the french open....

his never say die attitude will always be remembered

people wil always remember him for being the original style icon who played the game as a true gentleman....

Malfunction - hype

the lakme fashion week took place last week , and only things the press and the electronic media reported abt was the MALFUNCTION of wardrobes...

i mean its part and parcel of the job , its gonna happen ,clothes tear any way,so why make it such a big cry about it...

i dont get it how the designer is to blame for it , i mean why will he/she tear his own creation ,

any way the dresses worn my the models are as good as walking naked sometimes , so why cry when a little bit is shown and make news with saying Malfunction... there is no way you are going to win any sympathy votes...

so chill and keep on modeling ....

30 years of innovation....

well this APPLE is 30 yrs old........ and still tastes amazing...

its a hell of a journey this company has gone through, been through and seen through but it has stood by its only motto and thats to INNOVATE

and for the last 30 yrs they have done that from the Apple to the MAC to iPOD they have done something new

so on April Fool's Day in 1976 the company which was founded, has surely fooled everybody in the digital world and stood out for its innovation and its belief

so on this i wish APPLE an amazing 30 yrs and many many more .......

Snickers - mmmmmm

Snickers is my favourite chocolate ..... i just love it ..... now i havent actually had a snickers bar for like months may be close to a year because i had cut down everything like sweets ,chocolates , and fizzy drinks just for a better and a healthy way of eating .... but yesterday after dinner i had a complete SNICKERS bar ...... my god it was heaven the peanutty taste mixed with that caramel and that chocolate coating it was..... NIRVANA.....

Team India - just win it ....

the pakistan tour started and ended and Me paresh kerkar being an ardent cricket follower didnt write a word on this tour , i mean its the gretest rivalry in sports India VS Pakistan and i didnt do any thing and why you all will ask ......

well firstly the test series between the two teams pissed me off , the first two tests played between the two teams was a cure for insomnia where any one could bat with his one hand tied behind the back the third which was like a one off test was won by pakistan because india screwed up and gifting the test series to pakistan 1-0

the oneday internationals started with a bang where we saw the real diffrence where the men in blues really stood out and stamped thier authority winning the series 4-1

it was too good to be true where the indian team is known as chokers while chasing totals they were finishing of games with overs to spare with wickets in hand

the players who stood out from this entire series were

yuvraj singh - he has come of age and is the mainstay of indian batting richly deserving man of the series award (no second thoughts at all)

mahendra singh dhoni - its no more gilchrist , because its only DHONI the finisher

R P singh - a great find and one for the future

sreesanth - this kerala boy has big heart and is surely going to play for some time

rahul dravid - as a captain and a leader

sachin tendulkar - he is back

fielding - it was amazing suresh raina,yuvraj singh ,mohammad kaif, and all the players

it was a total team effort to come back from the loss of the test series and give a wacking to pakistan in the one day series
a truly amazing preformance

well with the new sponsers NIKE i think the nike tag line which was "just do it " has been changed to "just win it....."

so on that winning note.....

Rang De Basanti....

its an amazing film......
when i came out of the theatre i just asked my self which was the last film i saw moved me and the answer was Swades ,
after swades this is the film i am bowled over by
i dont know how to say or what to say abt the film
i can just say that you should watch it , it might change the way you think

TV - SIMPLICITY LOST

I was just sitiing that day nothing to do ,so was just runnig through all the cannels i have on my tv which my cable guy provides me.
well with most of the channels i browsed through hindi,english,marathi,bengali,south indian, all those channels .

the most striking thing abt all these channels were that all of them had some or the other serials running on them , i mean all those tear eyed, heavy drama,bathed in make up actors,no story line......... dailies . or those made to belive reality shows where every thing is rigged

these programs dont have a social message nor do they look good ,they are just a heavy dose of stress... and viewers love them ... its really amazing to see that viewers would not like any stress from thier family ,but wouldnt mind a shot of stress from all theses programs

but the most important thing to be noted is that these programs on our so called tv have lost that important thing know as SIMPLICITY

i just remeberd some of the serials i used to watch as a kid or in my growing years when there were a just a few handful of channels which showed some really amazing stuff

some of the programs which i may mention must have been watched by most of you

BUNIYAD....
indias first tele serial which hit big time ,but the most important thing abt this serial was it had a great story line ,some amazing actors and above all it was simple ,no buckets of makeup or weird camera angles and editing techniques (it was family drama) , it was my parents who used to watch this more than me but i think they really enjoy it more than the crap they dish out now on the idiot box

DETECTIVE KARAMCHAND
who can forget the carrot munching detective and his assistant known as kitty, well they were one hell of a pair who were a riot on screen with the way they solved those funny mystries
this was one unforgettful serial

MALGUDI DAYS
probably the most finest tv serial made for children and for all on INDIAN TELEVISION
the adaptation of RK NARAYAN 'S malgudi days and swami and friends was a classic
till date on indian televison i am trying to see something which can match this classic made for children....

NUKKAD
the best serial according to me ever made on indian television.. you would ask why because it showed the lives of simple people in a very simple but an entertainig way. i think we can still relate to it . because somewhere in that serial we can find us or some of our situatuions ...
this is surely a classic

there must be other programs(shanti,commandar,vikaram aur betaal etc) too which were great during that time but these are the few which i remember as i watched them

when i see tv today i just try to remember these and say well we had watched some classics and not some crap what they show nowadays

so till then

kulfiwala...

well a amol and me were waiting for surjeet outside his house.
knowing surjeet we knew he ws going to take his own sweet time...

beside us was a kulfiwala (not the guy who has his hand cart) but the guy who carries kulfies in a bucket full of ice,and walks along the street shouting kulfi..yo.
so we took 2 kulfies 5 Rs a piece

well we had nothing to do so we struck a conversation with the kulfiwala
well what he said was really facinating
we asked him abt how many kulfis he carries per day
and he gave us the details
7rs kulfi around 10 to 15 sticks
5rs kulfi around 30 to 40 sticks
3rs kulfi around 100 to 120 sticks

he tolds us abt his daily routine too
he gets up in the ealy morning around at 5:30 goes to the tabela and gets milk
then he starts preparing the kulfi with ingriedients
then he makes the sticks for the kulfi
then he freezes the kulfi
in the evening 4 he starts his daily rounds around the streets cloe to his house selling it
he does this till 12 in the night then goes home cleans all the kulfi cones and then has his dinner and calls it a day

he also tolds us abt his profit which wasnt much and said that a few years before was much better than now

he told us abt his family which consisted abt his mother a sister and his wife and a few other relatives who stayed with him

he said he stayed in the slum rehabitalation buildings built by the goverment.

well told us abt his native place which is close to pune . and how he and his family visits it once in a year in december for Datta jayanti

he said his age was 26 years running,he has been selling kulfis for the pas 19 years
and he is a 12 th (H.S.C) pass with 68%...
well talking to SITARAM, didnt i tell you what his name was,
he said people called him RAJU .....
well i think even with all the hardships he faces on day to day bases he tries to be happy in the goal to earn more and maybe fullfil those dreams he has

well it was an real nice experince knowing abt him... i hope i could meet him and have another kulfi from him
by the way the kulfi was really good

Unregistered.....Dream run

well i ran the Mumbai Marathon Dream Run unregistered.... well i had entered my name for the run but due to the limit of runners for the run i was one of the many whose application was rejected
so what do i do,i run without a registered number ,
you would ask me why ?
because i wanted to ,firstly for my self and above all for the spirit of that run

well during the check at the gates for the registerd number the race volunteer pulled me out well when he was talking to another of the unregistered participant i just jumped back in the crowd and took part in the race

i ran last year too on someone elses name because last year too i was unregistered
well so out of the 3 marathons which mumbai has hosted i ran 2 and i hope it becomes a tradition for the few of us who just want to run

i finished that 7 km Dream run in 42 min (with a couple of my friends)

well at the end like ,they way the mastercard ad says

running the race was great
but finishing it unregistered.... priceless

things which make us secure...

well this is the first post of 2006 yes its been delayed...... for no good reason
forget all that lets blog...
the thing which really make us secure money ofcourse .... but there are others which really
make us ,ourselves

like
1)you have all the cell phones (camera,touchscreen) all that are there in the market
but you really cant do without your landline , its your landline if its out of order for a little time you are paranoid (for ppl whos stay in hostels its your cell phone ;-) )

2)you have all the colors of shirts pink,green,blue all the metrosexual colors(whatever they are) but you have to have that white shirt its like your security jacket (for women it could be the shirt as well as the kurta)

3)same goes with formal pants you have the browns the navyblues,but you need that one black pant.(for women its the black saree or the black dress)

4)your jeans ,these are like a second skin to many ,you have all the black the marron the yellow but the one which is trully yours is that plain blue jeans its like your skin.

5)tshirts too have a common one but it depends from the other colors which people have its usually the white , the black and the grey which are commons which make us feel safe

6)now with computers we may have a laptop, pda,tablet pc 's ,or anything mobile but we need that desktop no matter what we need that desktop its like our castle....

well most of these things are things we have and according to my experince i feel the things which we feel secured by the ones i mentioned ,well it could be different for others but i think atleast a couple if not most of them will make you secure.....

my blog is one month old , i hope i have written something which people have liked
in this comming year i hope to blog more and hope it will be liked by you all

to bald.. or not to bald...

everyday in the newspaper i see ads regarding hair loss ,and getiing back your hair again..
all of you must have seen those the ones which they show a before and after picture of a guy

now i am balding and i have accepted it and have no problem about that

it was going to happen any way ,my dad lost his hair when he was around 28 my grand father too was bald (i never saw him with hair) and according to my family seniors what i have heard my great grandfather was born bald and he never had hair on his head

well the other thing i have learned is you can stop your hair loss but, most of the times you cannot grow new hair when you have lost it (from the roots) (ofcorse there is hair transplant and all those fundoo operations)but thats not important

now the funny part is how your family(parents) takes it and how your close realtives react to it, its almost the opposite reaction.

family...

mom now she really feels bad for you and trys to convince you to use different hair oils in her own way. She dosent really say straight to you that your balding but, will say try this oil this might give you more cooling effect or like make your hair shinnier or even say you look good to get your spirits higher (as if thts gonna make your hair grow back)

dad now he dosent care at all because he himself is bald , he knows it was going to happen any way . like my dad he calls me taklu

sister/brother they the hell dont care about your hair they are more worried of them selves and thier hair

relatives

aunts now they are more straight forward and will say straight to your face you are balding and if its a get to-gether with some more family members they will make sure every one hears it when they say it ,and they make sure that they discuss it at that time yes at that time as if its an issue to debate(loudly how silky was your hair and now look how it is) ... now if this dosent really irritate you then they get out the trump card that is so now tell us the name of the girl you are seeing (in front of your parents)....what ? ok now how are both these things related..

uncles they are the sober guys, they take you to the side and beat around the bush and say why dont you try this and that but never straight away tell you ,you are balding, maybe because they feel your hair loss as thier own

cousins they are more intrested in that girl which your aunt mentioned

well after this you have is two options

1) you go do some treatment (which may or may not work) but most of the times fastens hair loss

2)accept you are balding (like me) and welcome the change in your life
